The Town of Argyle is inviting residents to apply for openings on several boards and committees that help guide local development and planning. Applications for annual appointments will remain open through September 17, 2025, with interviews tentatively scheduled for the week of September 22. Interested residents can apply online at onboardgov.argyletx.com.
The town currently has openings on the following bodies:
Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee – This committee advises the Town Council on long-term planning goals, land use, and development priorities to guide Argyle’s future growth. Four terms are expiring at the end of October, according to the city’s website. It is unclear how many members will seek a new term.
Municipal Development District (MDD) – The MDD is a special-purpose district established to generate economic development and growth opportunities within its boundaries. Three terms are expiring at the end of October, according to the city’s website. It is unclear how many members will seek a new term.
Planning and Zoning Commission –. The commission reviews and makes recommendations to the Town Council on land use, zoning, subdivision plats, site plans, and other development applications. Its work is intended to promote orderly growth, protect property values, and ensure development aligns with the town’s comprehensive plan and long-term goals. Two vacancies and one expiring term are available
Residents interested in serving on any of these boards or committees are encouraged to submit applications before the deadline.
