With August bringing sweltering temperatures across North Texas, nobody could be faulted for dreaming about fall. The first chill in the air, Friday night football, and evenings spent on the front porch.
For Justin resident Ashley Chambers, this fall season will be one to remember. When she and her husband, Rob, set their sights on starting a business they could call their own, they pictured a project rooted in community and connection. This year, that vision comes to life with The Pumpkin Drop, a local, family-run service bringing custom pumpkin displays straight to homes and businesses across Justin, Northlake, Argyle, and Canyon Falls.
“We love this community, and we are so excited to be able to serve our neighbors,” said Ashley. “We are intentionally building The Pumpkin Drop in a way where we can truly give it our all, delivering excellent service and creating beautiful displays.”
A business built on family and experience
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, Ashley felt destined to be a business owner herself. From coaching, to consulting, to content creation, she’s gained deep experience in local small business. With Rob running his own business as well, the couple saw an opportunity to combine their skills to offer something unique, memorable, and practical.
Inspired by a similar service in Dallas, Ashley and Rob built The Pumpkin Drop as a seasonal business that they could pour their energy into during the fall, while still keeping holidays and family time sacred.
“Fall is such a special season. It’s beautiful, it brings people together, and we want to help others enjoy it without the stress,” said Ashley.
The Pumpkin Drop has become a true family venture. Ashley leads the charge on marketing and social media, while Rob manages logistics and sourcing. With a blended family of six kids, they will have a lot of help from little hands. Ashley says the kids are excited to help sort and deliver pumpkins, and one of them has even written a pumpkin-themed rap with help from ChatGPT.
Perfect packages and a customer-first approach
With quality and convenience at the heart of everything they do, The Pumpkin Drop is perfect for people who are entertaining, hosting a big Halloween party, or who just want to bring their love of fall to their porch. Their service is also ideal for anyone who doesn’t have the time or ability to drive somewhere to pick out a bunch of pumpkins on their own, haul them onto the porch, and arrange them in a way that looks nice.
For The Pumpkin Drop, all of the pumpkins are sourced straight from a farm in West Texas. Each display is designed with care, delivered with a smile, and often followed up with a friendly message to make sure everything is just right.
“We’ve created packages for every kind of customer,” Ashley says. “Some people want a quick drop-off and will handle styling themselves, others want the full experience of porch styling, pickup, and even pumpkin disposal at the end of the season.”
Customers can choose from a variety of packages, whether they want a simple seasonal refresh or a custom display with photo ops and branded signage for businesses or neighborhood entrances.
Ashley and Rob built The Pumpkin Drop around one core value: exceptional customer service. That means proactive communication, fast responses, and a focus on making the process fun and stress-free.
“We want you to have an experience that you can’t stop talking about and can’t stop sharing,” Ashley says. “We want it to be easy and fun to work with us, and to make something for you that stands out, and that you remember.”
With the fall season right around the corner, spots are filling quickly. Since this is The Pumpkin Drop’s first year in business, availability is limited. Early booking is encouraged to ensure your preferred delivery week.
