Texas Motor Speedway will host a special drive-in screening of F1 The Movie on Friday, August 1, to raise funds for those impacted by recent flooding in the Texas Hill Country.
The event is organized by Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas (SCC-Texas) and will take place in the speedway’s infield, where the film will be shown on Big Hoss, a 22,000-square-foot screen. The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m., with gates opening at 7:30 p.m. via the South Tunnel off Highway 114.
Admission is a minimum donation of $20 per vehicle, with all proceeds benefiting the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, which is providing aid to children and families affected by the floods.
The August 1 event follows the Speedway’s first Drive-In Movie Night on July 18, which featured How to Train Your Dragon. According to the organization, nearly 700 vehicles attended that showing, helping raise approximately $21,000 for flood relief efforts.
Andy’s Frozen Custard will be selling frozen treats at the event. The company has pledged to donate 20% of all on-site sales to the relief fund.
You can pay admission using cash or credit card on movie night, or you can sign up in advance here.
