A fan-favorite drink franchise is coming to Roanoke. Texas‑based HTeaO plans to open a location this fall on U.S. Highway 377. The specialty iced-tea shop will take the place of the former Schlotzky’s near the Chick-Fil-A and Discount Tire.
Owner Dana Ellis, a North Texas mom who already runs an HTeaO location in Arlington, says she expects to open the Roanoke store in October.
“We are blessed and excited to be coming to Roanoke,” said Ellis. “HTeaO provides healthy options for customers, our flavors are all-natural, and there’s really something for everyone.”
Ellis is no stranger to the area. Her kids go to school in Argyle, making them frequent commuters on 377. But her journey to opening a store here began out west. Ellis and her husband relocated to DFW from Midland, where the HTeaO chain launched in 2018. The couple had a front-row seat to the brand’s early success. Now, they plan to open two more North Texas locations in addition to their Arlington and Roanoke shops.
This will be the first HTeaO in our area. Right now, the closest locations are in Denton, Flower Mound, Keller, and Southlake. For Ellis, choosing to open in Roanoke was a no-brainer.
“We fell in love with the town and the culture,” said Ellis. “We love downtown, and the small-town feel. We’re big Friday night football fans, and we’re proud to be joining the Byron Nelson High School community. We want to be a part of the great monumental moments for the school and the town.”
HTeaO is known for offering 20+ flavors of fresh‑brewed iced tea, along with other snacks and drinks. The Roanoke location will add to the brand’s growing North Texas footprint as HTeaO continues to expand across the region.
