City of Justin invites public to Vision Planning Open House

The City of Justin is inviting residents and local stakeholders to take part in shaping the future of their community at a Vision Planning Open House on Monday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at The Abbey, located at 116 N. Jackson Ave, and will include a public presentation followed by an open house-style discussion.

The event will focus on the long-term vision for Old Town Justin and the FM156 corridor, two areas central to the city’s identity and growth. Topics up for discussion include:

  • Land use and zoning
  • Transportation planning
  • Parking solutions
  • Design standards and aesthetics

City officials will be on hand to explain the ongoing planning process, share preliminary concepts, and gather feedback directly from residents. Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and contribute ideas that will influence future development and improvements.

In addition to the in-person event, residents can engage with the planning effort online. The City has launched an interactive map and website where citizens can leave comments, upload photos, and explore planning ideas in progress. You can access the interactive map here: www.mapotic.com/public-interactive-map

Why it matters:
As Justin continues to grow, city leaders want to ensure that development in Old Town and along FM156 reflects the community’s values and priorities. The Open House is a key moment for locals to weigh in on what they want their city to look and feel like in the years to come.

Make your voice heard.
Whether you’re a longtime resident, business owner, or new to the area, your perspective is vital to the success of this planning process.
