Headed out of town? Local police offer free vacation watch program

If you’re planning a getaway soon, your local police department can keep an eye on your home while you are away.

The police departments in Argyle, Northlake, and Justin all offer a Vacation watch program, a free service designed to give residents peace of mind while they’re on vacation.

Through the program, residents can request extra patrols around their home during their trip. Once signed up, officers will keep an eye on the property, helping to deter crime and ensure everything remains secure while you’re out of town.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sign Up: Fill out a quick online form with your travel dates and basic information.
  • Review & Patrol: Officers will review your request and add your address to their patrol rotation during the time you’re away.
  • Relax: Head out on vacation knowing your home is being watched by local law enforcement.

To sign up, visit the Vacation Watch Program form.

Whether you’re off to the beach or just visiting family, this service is here to help make sure your time away is worry-free. Safe travels!
